  The scope of this European standard is restricted to the measurement of the quasi static or mean wheel and axle loads and the evaluation of the difference in static load between each side of the same vehicle, bogie and wheelset. Other derived quantities covered by the standard are: - average axle load of a trainset; - vehicle mass; - total train mass.
