Maritime navigation and radiocommunication equipment and systems - Digital interfaces - Part 1: Single talker and multiple listeners
IEC 61162-1:2010(E) contains the requirements for data communication between maritime electronic instruments, navigation and radiocommunication equipment when interconnected via an appropriate system. Is intended to support one-way serial data transmission from a single talker to one or more listeners. This data is in printable ASCII form and may include information such as position, speed, depth, frequency allocation, etc. Typical messages may be from about 11 to a maximum of 79 characters in length and generally require transmission no more rapidly than one message per second. For applications where a faster transmission rate is necessary, reference should be made to IEC 61162-2. The main changes with respect to the previous edition are listed below: - certain sentences have been removed as they are not used by other standards prepared by technical committee 80; - new sentences have been added; corrections have been made to certain sentences (ABK, BBM, DOR, FIR, SSD, TUT, and VTG); - new fields have been added to certain sentences; - three additional tests have been added to Annex B.

Ships and marine technology -- Marine cranes -- Structural requirements
ISO 19355:2016 specifies the structural requirements for marine cranes of metal construction. ISO 19355:2016 is applicable to the following types of marine cranes: - deck cranes mounted on ships for handling cargo or containers in harbour or sheltered water conditions; - floating cranes or grab cranes mounted on ships, barges or pontoons for operating in harbour conditions; - engine room cranes and provision cranes, etc. mounted on ships (including floating docks) for handling equipment and stores in harbour conditions. NOTE Marine cranes in other types can refer to this document. ISO 19355:2016 is not applicable to the following: - minimum ambient operating temperatures below −20 C; - maximum ambient operating temperatures above +45 C; - loads from accidents or collisions; - lifting operations below sea level; - transport, assembly, dismantling and decommissioning of cranes; - lifting accessories, i.e. any item between the crane and the load; - lifting operations involving more than one crane; - hand powered cranes; - emergency rescue operations; - shore-side cargo handling cranes; - portable cranes on board; - lifting appliances for lifeboats, liferafts accommodation ladders and pilot ladders; - launching appliances for survival craft and rescue boats; - gangways, accommodation and pilot ladders and their handling appliances.

Mechanical vibration -- Measurement of vibration on ships -- Part 5: Guidelines for measurement, evaluation and reporting of vibration with regard to habitability on passenger and merchant ships
ISO 20283-5:2016 gives guidelines for the measurement, evaluation and reporting of vibration with regard to habitability for all persons on-board passenger and merchant ships, especially for crew. Overall frequency-weighted r.m.s. vibration values in the frequency range 1 Hz to 80 Hz are given as guideline values for different areas on ships. ISO 20283-5:2016 is applicable to passenger and merchant ships with intended voyages of 24 h or more. ISO 20283-5:2016 specifies requirements for the instrumentation and the procedure of measurement in normally occupied spaces. It also contains analysis specifications and guidelines for the evaluation of ship vibration with respect to habitability. The evaluation of low-frequency ship motion which can result in motion sickness is covered by ISO 2631‑1. For the evaluation of the global structural vibration of a ship, however, see ISO 20283‑2.

Maritime navigation and radiocommunication equipment and systems - Digital interfaces - Part 1: Single talker and multiple listeners
This part of IEC 61162 contains the requirements for data communication between maritime electronic instruments, navigation and radiocommunication equipment when interconnected via an appropriate system. This part of IEC 61162 is intended to support one-way serial data transmission from a single talker to one or more listeners. This data is in printable ASCII form and may include information such as position, speed, depth, frequency allocation, etc. Typical messages may be from about 11 to a maximum of 79 characters in length and generally require transmission no more rapidly than one message per second. The electrical definitions in this standard are not intended to accommodate high-bandwidth applications such as radar or video imagery, or intensive database or file transfer applications. Since there is no provision for guaranteed delivery of messages and only limited error checking capability, this standard should be used with caution in all safety applications. For applications where a faster transmission rate is necessary, reference should be made to IEC 61162-2.
