Standards browsing service

If you need to view a standard only once to look up some information that you need and you do not wish to purchase the standard for yourself for good, the standards browsing service is for you. For a token fee, the standards browsing service allows you accessing the text of a standard over a 24-hour period from the acquisition of viewing privileges for the standard.

The fee for the standards browsing service is 2 euros irrespective of the content of the standard.

Via the standards browsing service, only Estonian and European standards can be accessed.

How the standards browsing service works

To browse a standard, you need to look up the standard of interest to you in our e-Shop, go to the detailed view of the standard in the e-Shop, select the preferred language from the ‘Browse full text’ box of options and click on the ‘View full text’ link. The system will then redirect you to the payment page. Payment for browsing may be made via online bank links to the Swedbank, SEB, Nordea and Danske (available only in Estonia),  by Visa or MasterCard credit card or by using the PayPal payment portal.

Furthermore, software to display files in the Flash format has to be installed on a computer. Download Flash Player

Please note: If you would like an invoice for the standards browsing service, you need to be logged in our system at the time of using the standards browsing service. For users who have logged in, the system will generate an invoice in the PDF format which you can download from your account later. To those users who have logged in, the system will also send an e-mail with a link from which the standard can be re-accessed over a 24-hour period.

After payment has been made successfully, the standard will open in a secure window on your computer. The standard may only be viewed; printing out or saving the standard on the user’s computer is prohibited. The standard will remain viewable for 24 hours. The standard may be re-accessed by using the Web address on the address bar of your web browser. Registered users logged in at the time of placing an order can re-access the text via the link on the ‘View ordered electronic documents’ page in their account; users not registered or logged in at the time of placing an order have to retain the address of the website themselves.
