From the e-shop, you can order standards, standard drafts, standard-like documents, and other publications listed in the e-shop (hereinafter Standards) and use the standard browsing service. Standards are available electronically (PDF format) and/or on paper, depending on the information listed about each standard.
Users who have registered in the e-shop environment can order from the e-shop (hereinafter Customers). The standards browsing service is available for unregistered customers as well. Upon registration, the Customer will be obliged to submit truthful information about themselves. In case of doubt, the Centre for Standardisation will have the right to check the submitted data and block the Customer and/or the Internet IP address used by the Customer in the e-shop in case of incorrect data.
Customers are required to use the e-shop for its intended purposes and benevolently. If the listed principles are ignored, the Centre for Standardisation will have the right to block the Customer and/or the Internet IP address used by the Customer in the e-shop.
You can pay for the standards via a bank transfer, using a bank link (Swedbank, SEB Pank, Luminor Pank, LHV Pank), credit card (Visa, Mastercard), and in the PayPal payment environment.
All payment methods generate an invoice automatically for the person stated in the user account (if the address field includes company details, the invoice will be created for the respective company). If you choose the payment method “Payment by Invoice”, the deadline will be 10 days. Please consider the invoice generated by the e-shop as the original invoice and use its printout, if necessary.
In case you need an Estonian e-invoice, please let us know separately and we will issue e-invoices in parallel with the e-shop invoices.
If not agreed upon otherwise, orders will be fulfilled once the payment has been received by the Estonian Centre for Standardisation. The Customer will be notified of the different stages of fulfilling the order via e-mail, whereas it is also possible to follow the order fulfilment process on the Customer’s user account.
Paper standards will be sent to the Customer, depending on their chosen delivery method via Omniva or, if the customer has chosen “I will pick the order up myself” delivery method, the ordered standards wil be delivered to the Centre for Standardisation’s customer service, located at Akadeemia tee 21/6, Tallinn. When ordering a standard via Omniva, Omniva’s delivery time (up to 3 working days in Estonia, up to 4 working days in Europe and up to 10 working days in the rest of the world) will be added to the order fulfilment time. The customer will receive a separate e-mail when the Standards are forward to Omniva (shipping costs will be added to the order per product 1.75 euros in Estonia, 7,50 euros in zone 1 and 9 euros in the rest of the world) or they can be picked up from customer service.
The Customer will have the right to return the standard within 14 days as of receiving the standard and receive a refund (except the transport costs). The returnable standards cannot be tainted. Purchased electronic standards cannot be returned. You can cancel your order within 14 days if an electronic standard has not been downloaded from the user account.
If the purchased standard is corrupt, the Customer will have the right to file a complaint with the Centre for Standardisation, preferably within three days but no later than within two years from the day of delivery of the standard. The complaint must be filed immediately, but no later than within two months from discovering the error.
If the standard has errors, the customer will have the right to: 1. Demand that the standard be either corrected or replaced with the correct standard; 2. Demand withdrawal from the Agreement, in the event that: a. it is not possible to correct the standard or replace it, b. the corrections or replacement fail, c.The Centre for Standardisation has not eliminated the error within a reasonable amount of time.

To use the standards browsing service, you will need to find a standard of interest from the e-shop, open the standard detail view, select “Browse Full Text” and the desired language. You can pay for the standards browsing service only via a bank link (Swedbank, SEB Pank, Luminor Pank, LHV Pank), with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard), in the PayPal environment, and with a previously purchased voucher.
Please Note! If you need an invoice for the standard browsing service, you need to be logged in to your user account when using the browsing service. The system will create a PDF format invoice for a logged in user, which you can later download from your user account. The Centre for Standardisation does not issue an invoice to users who have not logged in.
The standard will open for browsing immediately after a successful payment, in a secure window in the user’s device. The standard is read-only, there is no option to print the text out and save it to the user’s device. The standard will be available for reading for a period of 24 hours. The standard can be reopened by using the website address on the browser’s address bar. Registered users who are logged in when they place the order, can reopen the text by using the link “Ordered Electronic Standards” in their user account or using the link sent to them via e-mail. Unregistered users or users who are not logged in when placing the order must retain the website address themselves.
The cost of the standard browsing service will not be refunded, except in case if the browsed standard was corrupt or did not open for browsing. If such an event occurs, the Customer will have the right to file a complaint with the Centre for Standardisation, preferably within three days but no later than within two years from the day of purchasing the standard browsing right. The complaint must be filed immediately, but no later than within two months from discovering the error. To better resolve later problems, the Customer should definitely retain the purchase invoice or other information (e.g. copy of the payment order) which provides confirmation that the Customer used the Centre for Standardisation’s browsing service. Without a document that would evidence the purchase, the Centre for Standardisation may not resolve the issue.
If the browsable standard has errors, the Customer will have the right to: 1. First, demand the correction of the browsable standard or for it to be made available for browsing;2. Demand withdrawal from the Agreement, in the event that: a. it is not possible to correct the browsable standard or replace it, b. the corrections or replacement fail, c. The Centre for Standardisation has not eliminated the error within a reasonable amount of time, d. Correcting or replacing the browsable standard has caused unreasonable inconveniences.
Processing of Personal Data and Protection By entering data through the evs.ee website and the e-shop, and with the corresponding confirmation to the non-profit association Estonian Centre for Standardisation, the Customer provides the right to collect and process personal information on the website according to the principles of the Estonian Centre for Standardisation governing the processing of personal data.

All parts of the website that include or in which your personal data is processed (log in windows, user account pages, etc.) are protected with SSL encryption, which ensures that third parties cannot listen in on the exchanged information or change it. You can log in to your account with a username and password, ID-card or mobile ID.
Security when making e-shop transactions In the Centre for Standardisation e-shop, you can pay by using the following electronic payment methods: • credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), • bank links (Swedbank, SEB Pank, Luminor Pank, LHV Pank), • PayPal payment environment. Using payment cards and bank links is secure in the Centre for Standardisation e-shop.
If you pay with a credit card, the Centre for Standardisation does not see the data you enter. To make the payment, you will be redirected to the safe environment of Nets Estonia and upon making the payment, the card owner will enter the card details into the database located at the Nets Estonia server and these details will be retained only in the Nets Estonia server. The Centre for Standardisation will only receive a confirmation from Nets Estonia, regarding the making of the payment. To ensure secure data transfers, SSL encryption is used between the Customer and the payment environment, and data that is transferred between the Centre for Standardisation website and the payment environment will be signed electronically, which ensures that third parties cannot listen in on the information being exchanged nor change it. The Centre for Standardisation will have access to card transaction reports, but no access to the full card number. When using the bank links, the transactions will be conducted in bank environments, due to which the Centre for Standardisation will not see details about your bank account, user names, or passwords. The Centre for Standardisation will forward to the bank details about the transaction you are about to complete and will later receive only a confirmation about fulfilling the payment order. The connection between the bank and the buyer is protected with an SSL encryption and the information exchanged between the bank and the Centre for Standardisation includes digital signatures, ensuring that third parties cannot listen in on the information being exchanged nor change it.
