This European Prestandard specifies a laboratory method of determining the conventional assembly time foradhesives for load bearing timber structures under specified conditions.This test method is not intended for use with adhesive systems in which the components are separately andsequentially applied to the substrate.This prestandard is only intended for obtaining a reliable base of comparison between similar adhesives. Themethod gives result which cannot be applied to the safe manufacture of timber structures without modifications forthe influences of timber density/absorbency, moisture content, factory temperature and relative air humidity.
