This standard gives a specification for burnt shale, which is produced from the combustion of pulverized oil shale in energy generation plants, followed by dry separation of produced fine disperssed mineral particles. Burnt shale consists of clinker minerals, quicklime, dehydrated calcium sulphate, glass phase and insoluble residue. There are different types of burnt shale, which confirm to this standard:
—  CEM BS;
—  CON BS;
—  AAC BS;
—  COM BS.
This standard defines the characteristics, test methods and evaluation of conformity of burnt shale.
