Keeping up with changes in standards, including new editions, amendments, and withdrawals, is essential for ensuring compliance and accuracy. EVS provides free tools and services that help you monitor standards updates and stay informed in your field.

Monitoring European standards for updates

One option to track standards updates is to use a monitoring service.

Monitoring service will notify you via email of any updates to a standard that you're monitoring, such as a new standard, amendment, or corrigendum.

If you haven't purchased a particular standard from us before, you can still add it to your monitoring list for free by registering as a user and following a few simple steps.

To add a standard to your monitoring list, simply find it in the e-shop and click on the "Add to monitoring +" link. Before doing so, you can also find out more about the standard's history, related directives, regulations, and scope by clicking on its designation.

All the standards in your monitoring list can be accessed through your user account.

FAQ – Staying up to date with European standards

How often are standards updates published?

EVS publishes standards usually twice a month, during the first and third week of each month. These updates may include new standards, revised editions, amendments, corrigenda, withdrawn standards, and draft documents.

When are standards updated?

Standards are typically reviewed every five years. If a standard is still relevant and doesn't require any changes, it will be approved for the next five years. However, if its content is outdated or needs modification, a new version will be published, or the standard may be withdrawn without replacement.

What is the difference between the monitoring service and the information service?

The monitoring service is designed for users who need to follow specific standards. It allows users to select individual standards and receive notifications whenever there are changes to those particular documents.

The information service, on the other hand, provides a broader overview of developments within a chosen field of activity. Instead of tracking individual standards, users receive regular updates on all relevant changes in their selected sector.
