Although the standard’s status is withdrawn, it still has the presumption of conformity in the meaning of regulation 2014/35/EU and conformance with the regulation ’s requirements can be guaranteed by using the withdrawn version of the standard. The presumption of conformity is valid until a corresponding amendment is published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

EVS-EN 60950-1:2006
EN 60950-1 applies to mains-powered or battery-powered information technology equipment, including electrical business equipment and associated equipment, with a rated voltage not exceeding 600 V. Application of this safety standard will help to reduce the risk of injury or damage due to electric shock, fire, radiation and energy, heat, mechanical and chemical-related hazards. EN 60950-1:2006/A1:2010 modifies the European standard EN 60950-1:2006.
