This standard specifies the minimum requirement for gas tight chemical protective clothing, including component parts such as gloves and boots which may be specified elsewhere. Chemical protective clothing according to this standard shall be used with a breathable air supply independent of the ambient atmoshpere, e.g. a self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus according to EN 137, worn outside the clothing
