EVS 944:2023

This standard describes the requirements for cleaning of areas in which infectious matter is likely to occur and thus cause direct and indirect transmission. Areas such as ceiling, floor, walls and fixtures which are not covered by the critical risk points are not included in this standard.

The wiping up and disinfection, if required, after spillage and contamination with human biological material, such as blood, secretions and excretions, are dealt with in Annex B.
