This European Standard specifies the  requirements for cork underlays made from agglomerated cork designed to be used in conjunction with any type of resilient floor covering to improve their acoustical performance and/or  to provide a base for any rigid floor coverings. Optionally, they can be used to improve thermal performance. The  standard also specifies requirements for marking and labelling.. NOTE: The performance of the cork underlays is dependent on the cork underlays thjemselves, the type of floor covering used and the installation of both; the performance of the "complex" (floor covering plus underlay) is not covered by this standard. The use of cork underlays should follow the instructions of  the manufacturer.  Cork underlays are supplied either in sheet or roll form.
