Although the standard’s status is withdrawn, it still has the presumption of conformity in the meaning of regulation 2014/35/EU and conformance with the regulation ’s requirements can be guaranteed by using the withdrawn version of the standard. The presumption of conformity is valid until a corresponding amendment is published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Part 5 of this standard applies to direct acting analogue phase meters, power factor meters and synchroscopes. This part also applies to non-interchangeable accessories used with phase meters, power factor meters and synchroscopes. This part also applies to a phase meter or power factor meter whose scale marks do not correspond directly to its electrical input quantity, provided that the relationship between them is known.
