This standard is one of a series of standards dealing with the sampling and testing of paints, varnishes and related products. It specifies a test method for determining the density of paints, varnishes and related products using balls or other round bodies as immersion bodies (plummets). The method is limited to testing materials of low or medium viscosity, and is particulary suitable for production control.
