EVS-EN ISO 12643-2:2023

ISO 12643-2 provides safety requirements specific to prepress and press equipment and systems. It provides additional safety requirements for the design and construction of new prepress and press equipment, and the auxiliary equipment integrated into the press control system.

This standard can be useful for different stakeholder groups representing the market players concerning machinery safety:

— machine manufacturers (small, medium and large enterprises),

— health and safety bodies (regulators, accident prevention organisations, market surveillance, etc.)

— machine users or employers,

— machine users or employees (e.g. trade unions, organizations for people with special needs);

— service providers, e. g. for maintenance,

— consumers (in the case of machinery intended for use by consumers).

ISO 12643-2 does not apply to prepress and press equipment and systems manufactured before the date of its publication. The text of ISO 12643-2:2023 has been approved in Europe as EN ISO 12643-2:2023 without any changes.
