This European standard specifies requirements for indirect investigations of soil by standard penetration
test within the scope of the geotechnical investigations according to ENV 1997. The standard penetration test is used mainly for the determination of the strength and deformation properties of cohesionless soils, but some valuable data may also be obtained in other types of soils
